Josh Lewis
AMERICAN ACCENT COACH

Hi, I’m Josh Lewis.

I help people who need to communicate clearly with native American English speakers sound natural, confident, and respected — whether in meetings, client calls, or everyday conversations.

My Story

Years ago I moved abroad and quickly realized that even though I could get my point across, I still sounded foreign. People constantly asked me to repeat myself. I felt invisible in conversations.

That experience pushed me to study exactly what makes American English sound native — placement, resonance, body voice, rhythm, stress timing, and linking — the things the American ear is actually attracted to.

I learned that the real breakthrough happens when you first learn to **hear** the language the way a native does, then train your body to produce it naturally. That’s what I teach.

My Methodology

01

Train the Ear First

Most people try to copy sounds without actually hearing them the way a native does. I start by teaching you to hear the language like an American hears it.

02

Train the Body

Once you can hear it, we train placement, resonance, body voice, rhythm, stress, and linking — the things the American ear is actually attracted to. Mouth position comes second.

03

Build Muscle Memory

Real change comes from deliberate practice that rewires your habits. You develop the muscle memory so the new way of speaking feels natural and automatic over time.
